About Ash Hope

Yoga Teacher | Mentor | Facilitator of Corporate Health and Wellbeing programs

Ash has been practicing Yoga for over a decade and studies with Nancy Gilgoff, who is thought to be the first American woman to travel to India to study Ashtanga yoga with Pattabhi Jois. Ash completed the Primary and Intermediate Ashtanga series with Manju Jois, Pattabhi Jois son, and studied with Sharath Jois at the KPJAYI in Mysore/ India. She has been fortunate to study with a number of senior teacher’s around the world to gain a deeper understanding of the eightfold path of Patanjali’s yoga. Her interest in chanting and yoga philosophy has led Ash to study with Dr M.A. Jayashree and Professor M. A. Narasimhan to deepen her knowledge on the Yoga Sutras.

Ash is gifted with the ability to tune into the individual needs of each student and she emphasises on healing the body and mind through yoga. In each class Ash gives hands on adjustments and verbal instructions to each student to guide people safely through the practice. Her classes are an invitation to be challenged, supported and transformed.

Ash describes her daily practice as a gift to herself. ‘Step on the mat and become aware of yourself – inside and out. Step off the mat and bring that awareness into your world. This is where the real practice begins.’

Ash loves to teach and finds it extremely rewarding to guide people on their personal journey of discovery and transformation. Her classes reflect her authenticity, connectedness and dedication to yoga.

“I am grateful for the people that walked the path before me and honored to share these teachings with others” ~Ash Hope

I believe that to know the real meaning of yoga one has to teach from direct experience.
